Christensen Shipyards is delighted to present a new contract for a Custom 160’ Series motor yacht. Featuring an elegant, clean and contemporary interior by Tonya Lance of VARO Interior Design, the new 160´ Christensen Custom Series superyacht due to be delivered in September 2013 was sold to Mr. Donald A. Burns. He is an owner of the previous 120’ Christensen super yacht First Draw (ex Cacique).
160´ Custom Series Motor Yacht by Christensen Shipyards
Mr. Burns is the 20th client to return to Christensen for a new yacht. This vessel will be one of the first US flagged yachts with the capabilities of commercial charter in Europe for up to 12 passengers.
Architectural features of the 160´ Christensen luxury yacht will include custom tailored woodwork and exotic stone surfaces fabricated exclusively by Christensen’s in-house team of experienced craftsmen. The figured Sycamore interior wall panels will be emphasized with handcrafted Rosewood furniture. The opulent interior will be comfortable and inviting.
The six gracious staterooms in this Custom Series will comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. The Owner’s stateroom will be on the main deck with an en suite bathroom adorned with custom finishes. The VIP and four guest cabins will be positioned on the lower deck, each with its own bathroom and the same linear designs accentuated throughout the staterooms. Each stateroom will have autonomous control of an extensive movie and music library, U.S., Caribbean, and European satellite television, iPad interface, and the fastest internet speeds available.
The outdoor living areas will provide abundant opportunities for entertaining and basking in the sun. The sun deck will include a full height bar, Spa Pool tub and lavish lounge areas. The bridge deck will offer two alfresco dining arrangements and an extended living space. The main aft deck provides a large dining table and a full height service bar area. The exterior decks will be fully equipped with ample room designated for a helipad and toys.
The 160´ Christensen superyacht’s exterior styling will reflect the Custom Series image with a raised forward full-shear bulwark and vertical pilothouse windows. As with the interior, the exterior will have a clean, contemporary style, with traditional lines and finished with a light gray hull.
The Custom 160´ Series will be powered by twin CAT 3512 series engines, with a range of over 4,000 nautical miles. She will feature ZeroSpeed-At Anchor stabilizers.
