She has a heavy displacement S-frame with overhang stern and raked schooner bow and long keel, with steel rudder to keel and skeg. During her 2009 refit, BORKUMRIFF II has been completely rebuilt from the stripped hull. The refit took 18 months the very system was replaced or renewed. IN 2019 she has received another extensive refit and she has a modern interior while retaining her beautiful exterior classic lines offering the best of both worlds. Her hull was also repainted to a beautiful dark blue. She is an ideal yacht for a family charter.

S/Y BORKUMRIFF II can accommodate 8 guests in 2 double and two twin cabins. The yachts Master cabin offers a queen-size bed with luxurious mattress, spacious lockers, built-in stereo and Flatscreen TV and luxury en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and separate shower with marble interior. The double cabin also has spacious lockers and an en-suite bathroom with separate showers and flush toilets. The remaining two twin cabins (one with 2 lower singles and the other with upper-lower bunk beds) have spacious lockers, an en-suite bathroom with separate showers and flush toilets. All of BORKUMRIFF II's cabins have a TV as well as being air-conditioned and also heated.

Just a brief note to let you know we had a great week aboard the Lady Thuraya. The yacht is in great condition, everything appears as new the furnishings are tasteful and comfortable and all the fixtures worked perfectly well. The navigation equipment also appears state of the art, looks like the renovation was extensive and very complete. But what really made our stay most enjoyable was the crew, always ready and anticipating our every desire, attentive to the smaller details, always a smile on their face and a genuine interest in providing us with an unforgettable experience while giving us all a great sense of safety and security with their professional attitude and ease of maneuvering the sailboat even into the tightest of mooring spots. The food was delightful and light, impecably served, totally appropriate for the heat we experienced; pity that Frans will not make a career of cooking on yachts! Bravo!
