The Dutch builder, Wim van der Valk, is currently working on the magnificent 26-metre motor yacht Continental III Flybridge. The 26m luxury superyacht Continental III has been designed in partnership with renowned Guido de Groot. Her construction is well underway and she is scheduled for delivery in August 2013.

Swich panels 230 volt:
Switch panels have been equipped with “double pole” fuses and where necessary “earth fault” and “engine protection systems”. The switching between shore, generators and inverter is fully automatic and “fool proof”
A 230v indication – monitoring system is mounted in the steering position.
Electrolysis:
The use of isolation transformers will exclude any risk of electrolysis. As extra and additional security the ship will be equipped with an earth fault measuring system equipped with alarm function. Should the ship find itself in an “electrically polluted” environment then the system will indicate this via an alarm.
Switch Panels 24 Volt:
A main switchboard is mounted in the engine room en is equipped with “double pole” fuses and where necessary engine security switches. Also a manual “earth fault” monitoring system is installed.
A 24 volt dc indication & monitoring system is installed in the steering position.

Optionally touch screen operation is possible whereby as back-up conventional switches will be fitted to ensure optimum operation security.
Cable system:
Type cables and installation according to latest classification demands. Only professional connectors will be used (connection box/heat shrinkable tubing). All cabels are fire retardant and have separate fuses.
Lighting system:
o Salon, dinette, galley and all other luxury areas will be equipped with sufficient Cantalupi Halogen/LED spots with dimmers.
o Wheelhouse equipped with night-navigation lighting system.
o Indirect lighting will be installed acc. to client’s wishes and possibilities.
o Technical area’s will be been equipped with “TL” lighting (230 volt) plus 24V emergency lighting.
o Deck lights (Halogen/LED), equipped with dimmers will be mounted above the side and aft decks.
