Built by the well known New Zealand yacht builder Alloy Yachts to a naval architecture by Dubois Naval Architects, superyacht DRUMBEAT (ex Salperton) is one of the largest pleasure crafts ever built in New Zealand and one of the most magnificent luxury yachts. She is a high-performance ketch, providing thrilling speeds of over 15 knots (or higher) combined with great sailing comfort, sea worthiness and excellent space on board.

From 2005 thought to 2009, Drumbeat has received a number of refits and re-stylings. Her interior was redesigned to reflect the simplicity and beauty of the lines of this beautiful sailing yacht. The colours, materials and furniture are designed for utmost in comfort, lighting is of the highest standard giving the option of setting the most suitable mood to the saloon and thought the entire yachts. The overall feeling on board is of casual elegance. In 2008 and 2009 her engines and generators have been replaced. She has received a replacement of several original art works, her Bose audio system has been revised, all precious woods have been re-varnished. On the exterior, new bimini was installed on aft deck, all sails have been replaced (including MPS), hull, masts and superstructure have been repainted.

The guests can find the main cockpit, saloon, formal dining area and the pilothouse on the same level, which is quite distinct for a sailing yacht. The yacht features visibility and straight sight lines which give a feeling of space and light as well as direct but sheltered visual contact with the sea in all areas. General natural light penetrates each one of her magnificent guest staterooms. Charter guests are accommodated in one Owner’s suite, three double guest cabins and a twin cabin with an additional pullman berth. Sailing Yacht Drumbeat has six crew cabins with en-suites, providing comfortable accommodation for her crew.
