Registrations For The Rendezvous in Monaco 2013 Open

December 31, 2012

Set to take place from June 20 to 23, The Rendezvous in Monaco 2013 will come back to the Principality of Monaco, providing superyacht owners with four days of yachting fun in Europe’s most prestigious yachting destination.

Rendezvous in Monaco

Owners and charterers cruising in the Mediterranean this summer are invited to participate in this very special event which has become an unmissable fixture on the yachting social calendar. With participation limited to 25 superyachts and early interest from a number of new launches and award-winning superyachts, prompt registration is encouraged to secure a place in the line up.

Organized in partnership with the Yacht Club de Monaco, an exciting social programme includes a range of activities to suit all tastes with plenty of fun to be had on both land and sea.

‘We love this event and have attended three times. It’s the start of our season on the boat.’
Howard Meyers, owner of M/Y Ingot

2013 PROVISIONAL PROGRAMME
In true yachting tradition, the event will kick off with a Welcome Cocktail on the Quai des Étas-Unis and on board participating yachts, with live music along the dock creating a wonderful party atmosphere. Much of the Rendezvous action will take place along the Quai, which is made private to guests of the event, allowing owners to enjoy the spectacle of the superyacht fleet from close quarters.

Scheduled events include fashion shows, chef & cocktail competitions and hospitality on board the host yacht.

‘We had a great time and met wonderful people, the organization was superb!’
Former owner of M/Y Bartender (ex Nomade)

Out on the water, the Rendezvous fleet will participate in two spectacular cruises in company; the first to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, dropping anchor off the charming Paloma Beach restaurant and enjoying a day of fun à la plage with stunning views over Beaulieu and Cap d’Ail. Watersports will be available throughout the afternoon.

The following day, yachts will leave the port for a second time, cruising at dusk to the legendary beach-side Diamonds & White Party, where they will enjoy fine food, live music, spectacular scenery and dancing into the early hours before returning to port under starlight.

‘What a wonderful event, especially the Diamonds & White Party!’

Alloy Yachts’ 67.2m sailing yacht Vertigo was declared the evening’s big winner, with designers Philippe Briand and Christian Liaigre taking home three Neptunes for Exterior Design & Styling, Interior Layout and Best Recreational Space for Guest Use (for her novel midships lazarettes on the lower deck.)

Also picking up multiple awards were Peder Eidsgaard and the design team behind Feadship’s 77.7m motor yacht Tango, who received two awards for Motor Yacht Exterior Design & Styling and for the design of the Tender to Tango, much admired by the judges for an appearance that subtly matched its mothership while boasting supreme comfort and first-class construction.

Michael Leach Design swept two categories for Sailing Yacht Interior Design and Interior Layout for Hemisphere, sharing both as joint winners with sailing yacht Hetairos and Vertigo respectively. When both categories brought in a tie, the judges decided to award equal first places because the vessels concerned were so different.
