The first brand new Azimut Grande 95RPH superyacht is coming out in spring 2014; however, thanks to renderings, it is possible to preview some of the boatyard’s interesting solutions that improve functionality without altering the style.

Foremost among the new features introduced by concept and exterior designer Stefano Righini is the raised wheelhouse. The boat’s name – RPH – actually stands for Raised Pilot House, giving some indication of the importance of the decision to separate the wheelhouse from the main deck. This is accomplished by creating a half deck which gives the boatowner and guests more space and maximises privacy from the crew. The designer has also managed to integrate the raised wheelhouse with the vessel’s hallmark exterior lines, retaining that special Azimut Grande family look.

Thanks to the raised wheelhouse, the Azimut Grande 95RPH yacht has five cabins, four guest cabins on the lower deck and the boatowner’s cabin on the main deck towards the bow. The exceptional view and large bathroom make the boatowner cabin a veritable suite with an unparalleled sea view. There is also a liberating sense of space in the 95RPH saloon; here, Righini has created a real sense of continuity between inside and outside, thanks in part to the double, floor-to-ceiling picture windows.

Another Azimut Grande trump card is without doubt the exceedingly spacious flybridge (+60 m2) – awarded Best in Class; it includes a cushy exterior dinette that seats 10, a mini bar, Jacuzzi, and comfortable sunbathing area.

The layout sleeps 10 with the boatowner’s suite and four VIP cabins, each with a private bath; there is also a day head. The four-member crew has three cabins and two baths to the bow, with separate access to the kitchen located on the main deck.

The luxurious and elegant interiors are by Studio Salvagni Architetti for Azimut Yachts, a proven collaboration that has led to such successful models as superyacht Azimut 80, Azimut 84, and Azimut 88.

To the stern, there is a garage with pivoting platform for a + 4-metre tender jet; the engine room has two MTU 16V2000 M84 motors which, when combined with the planing hull with skeg, provides for significantly improved directional stability, enabling maximum speeds of 26.5 knots and cruising speeds of 20 knots. The 12,000-litre fuel tank and 2,000-litre water tank ensure great range, even for long crossings.

Despite being a vessel with an overall length of nearly 29 metres, the Grande 95RPH falls within the 24-metre cut-off and therefore can be registered as a pleasure craft. In many countries around the world this is a distinction which offers the boatowner serious advantages both in terms of crew management and administration, with significant savings in time and money. This is because pleasure crafts do not require a professional captain or engineer and have reduced crew requirements. In addition, the registration procedures are definitely simplified, with the corollary benefits for charter use: regulations are in conformance with MGN280 guidelines, MCA equivalent for under 24 metres.

The two brands of the Azimut|Benetti Group launched a total of 7 new yachts at the recent European shows. Atlantis premiered the Atlantis 34, the Group’s first yacht under 10 meters.

Azimut presented the Fly and HT versions of its Magellano 43 and the motor yacht Magellano 76, plus the Azimut 55S, a particularly successful sport model, and two flybridges, the Azimut 54 and Azimut 84 superyacht. The new interior design experience for the Azimut 84 was widely appreciated.

The moods and details of the Firenze, Riviera, Portofino and Dolce Vita solutions, created to guide customers in their initial choice, can be embellished and custom-finished with unique furnishings at the Styling Lounge Yachtique in Viareggio. The Showroom offers a top selection of Italian and international design and furnishing brands.

Confirming the importance of the US market, four of the new models presented in Europe will be available in the US from early 2013. The Magellano 43 (Fly and HT models), Azimut 55S and Azimut 54 will be on display at the Miami Boat Show in February 2013.

PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS CONFIRM THE SUCCESS OF THE BRANDS

The new yachts were received enthusiastically by the market from the start, clocking up good commercial sales and a number of international awards. The Azimut 55S, unveiled at the Cannes Boat Show in early September, made an immediate impact with its highly innovative design. This helped earn it two Yacht Trophies – one for “Most Innovative Yacht” and one for “Best Design & Interior Layout”.

Azimut Yachts and Atlantis obtained two nominations in the European Powerboat of the Year 2013 Award (EPY 2013) for Atlantis 34 and for Azimut Magellano 43 Fly, nominations announced just on the occasion of the 52nd Genoa Boat Show. The design goals behind the Magellano models remain autonomy, the maximum cruising comfort even at low speeds and the freedom to go at higher speeds when necessary.

The Magellano 76 yacht, compared to the previous 74, is two feet longer but, above all, it becomes even more versatile in use of the spaces on board. It keeps the atmosphere warm and welcoming and, at the same time, offers the possibility of having on board larger surface areas ensuring maximum privacy for the owner, guests and crew.

26 Azimut Benetti yachts to be present at Genoa Boat Show

October 03, 2012

The Azimut Benetti Group will be attending the 2012 Genoa International Boat Show with 26 yachts present, with four of them making their world debut. Benetti has unveiled their new ‘Design Innovation’ project, to create future mega yacht design proposals.

After a positive start at the September boat shows of Cannes and Monaco, both of which encouraging from a commercial point of view,  primarily for the Megayachts business line, and despite the evident slump in the Italian market, the Group will be present in Genoa with all its brands and various ranges. Indeed, it will be the builder with the highest number of motor boats on show exceeding 10 metres. In fact, the relationship between the Azimut Benetti Group and the Genoa Boat show is so tight that for the past 52 years it has been the point of reference and source of inspiration.

On land and in the water, the Azimut Benetti Group will occupy an exhibition area of almost 4,000 square metres. It will be possible to visit 26 boats on three stands, including 4 being given their world premiere here, joining the other 4 presented at the start of the season.

Motor boat enthusiasts will be able to choose from a wide range of types: open and flybridge boats, eco-friendly or displacement vessels.

Motor Yacht Magellano 76

Motor Yacht Magellano 76

Starting with the Atlantis open range, with the  Atlantis 34 which enjoyed great success in Cannes and Barcelona, for the market sector it addresses: this boat offers careful interior design details and prestigious materials while slotting into a highly competitive price band.

The 4 new launches at Genoa are the eagerly-awaited Azimut 54 and motor yacht Azimut 84, developed from the positive experience of the Azimut 53 and Azimut 82 yacht, which introduce some major innovations in terms of layout and style. Then there is the Magellano 43 which will be present either in its flybridge version, already presented in Cannes boat show and in the very new Hard Top version. This configuration is particularly well-suited to those who enjoy sailing in both inland waters and the sea.

The Hard Top version is a winner too for all those who want to cruise in the sun and open air, thanks to the 4 glazed panels in the hard top, two of which can be opened, and which provide a pleasant contact with the open air, the sun and the surrounding fragrances.

The Magellano collection will include, not only this entry-level model, but also the new luxury yacht Magellano 76, which proposes the strength points of the first model bearing the great navigator’s name, adding new dimensions: a layout offering four cabins – one of which is multi-purpose – and four bathrooms.

Moreover Azimut 55S, just awarded and crowned with  the Most Innovative Yacht Award and Best Layout & Interior Award 2012 will be on display as well. Immediately after Genoa, the Azimut Benetti Group will be present at the first US boat show of the season in Fort Lauderdale at the end of October, where, here too it will be in force with another 20 yachts on show.

The Group continues to expand its areas of interest as a worldwide player in its uncontested role as leader in the production of megayachts. It can now count on new dealers in Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Denmark and a new structure in north-western Italy.

Among the recent initiatives aiming to add value to quality design and looking forward approach is the  “Design Innovation” project promoted by the historic  Benetti brand, which has specialised in the construction of displacement vessels from 24 to 100 metres in length since 1873. Benetti is exploring what the future holds in store for the lines of Italian megayachts by inviting 16 top designers from around the world specialising in nautical design to present a series of proposals which, taking existing platforms as the starting point, indicate solutions of style for superyachts of the future measuring between 50 to 90 metres.
