On Saturday, May 16, 2015, the Naples-based shipyard, Palumbo Group, successfully launched two all-new Columbus vessels: the second hull of Columbus 40 Sport Hybrid yacht with lovely interiors designed by Hot Lab, as well as the all-new Columbus 57m Classic yacht with interior design by 4C-Francesca Cianficconi. Both vessels feature hydrodynamics, engineering and exterior design by Hydro Tec-Sergio Cutolo.

Columbus 40 Sport Hybrid motor yacht Hull no. 2 follows a great success of her sister ship, the first Columbus 40 Sport Hybrid superyacht, officially unveiled in 2013. Since then, she has received many international awards for her interior and exterior design, as well as her low environmental impact. The vessel boasts the hybrid propulsion system, combined with the highly efficient hydrodynamic characteristics, ensuring a particularly low fuel consumption.

New Columbus 57m Classic superyacht is a beautiful displacement vessel, representing a real challenge for the design and engineering studio lead by Sergio Cutolo. The owner requested many solutions not easily integrated on a vessel measuring 57 meters in length, such as five enclosed decks plus a huge sundeck. The studio has developed solutions where the design and technical aspects could work hand in hand.

Following the launch of two Columbus yachts, the year 2015 will mark the launch of three other important vessels, bearing the Hydro Tec signature. These include the Darwin 107’ superyacht, the Darwin 102’ yacht, as well as luxury yacht Darwin 86’, all under construction at Cantiere delle Marche and with interior design by Studio Design PFA.  Moreover, Hydro Tec is currently working with Cantiere delle Marche on the second unit of the Darwin 102’, the naval architecture and engineering for the Nauta Air 108’, as well as the upcoming Nauta Air 111’.

Hydro Tec has also embarked on the design of the new M40 Explorer yacht for Mondomarine, which has already seen the cutting of the first plate. The vessel features the exterior design, marine engineering and naval architecture by Hydro Tec, while the interior design is by Fossati Design Bureau.
