‘The Melaka Gateway’ – New island development in Malaysia’s Malacca

Mr. Mohammed Alshaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft, and the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’Sri Mohd Najib Tun Haji Abdul Razak, have recently unveiled the massive new island development in Malaysia‘s Malacca, called ‘The Melaka Gateway’. This will boast one natural and two man-made Islands spanning 609 acres, including the largest superyacht marina in the fabulous yacht charter destination – the Southeast Asia, with more than 600 berths and 100 superyacht berths.

Mr. Mohammed Alshaali commented, “I am extremely pleased to see the launch of the project which will provide much needed additional berths and service support facilities for large yachts in Asia, an area that we are actively targeting”.

The project is being undertaken by KAJ Developments and is already underway. It will comprise an international cruise terminal, Southeast Asia’s largest superyacht marina, fabulous theme park, the Malaysia Eye, maritime heritage museum and luxurious residences accentuated by the iconic Gateway Beacon Tower.
