Doyle Sails NZ have supplied the rigging and a full suit of Stratis sails to the Paul Blakeley’s Swan 90 sailing yacht Spirit, currently under refit at Yachting Developments. Superyacht Spirit will be used as a cruising racer and her inventory consists of a Stratis main, staysail, roll furling blade, Code 0, as well as full size running gennaker.

“I liked working with the Doyle Sails NZ team from the outset – we had really good conversations and talked about sail choices that truly reflected our needs,” says Blakeley. “We wanted sails that would give us good boat speed and yet were durable, practical and manageable for a small crew. We have also been able to keep our options open, for a bit more racing if we want, and Doyle have worked well with Yachting Developments to ensure all the rigging and deck gear supported the overall concept.”

The running shots of the Spirit yacht will be released following her launch on 2 April.
