Charter guests wanting to discover the beautiful coastlines of Spain will be pleased to know that the Passenger Yacht rules on the Spanish luxury yacht charter grounds have changed recently and superyachts accommodating over 12 guests are now allowed to anchor overnight.

At a conference held on the 17th of May at Palma in Mallorca, General Directorate of Merchant Marine Mr. Benito Núñez Quintanilla made the change official with the signing of a Service Instruction that allows passenger yachts (those with more than 12 passengers) to anchor in such destinations as the Balearic Islands.
In order to protect sensitive marine environments, the Service Instruction sets out the boundaries where sailing yachts and motor yachts are and are not allowed to anchor: The passenger yachts will need to liaise with local authorities to find out any restrictions in the region before anchoring, thereby taking into consideration the ever-changing marine environment and seasonal fluxes.

RHEA
Built in 2017 by Ark Yachts, 54.6m/179.2ft sailing yacht RHEA has been cruising extensively through the Mediterranean and has an established reputation for providing a traditional setting with all modern conveniences for special occasion charters and larger holiday charters with family and friends. The accommodation is equal throughout, offering double and convertible twin cabins with an air-conditioned interior salon providing TV entertainment.
