The new year has commenced with continuous investment in improving facilities at the UK superyacht refit company, Solent Refit. An extensive project is underway to replace all the building roofs with modern covering, permitting much more light to penetrate as well as greater insulation.

The original buildings, with their comprehensive transverse rail system, are ideal for major marine refit projects for superyacht, powerboat and commercial craft.

The yard has also built their own dedicated barge to undertake maintenance dredging around the facility, together with a further Tug for boat movements.

Comprehensive engineering and carpentry shops have also been installed to service projects around the yard.

Major investment in the facility, is proof of commitment to the continuing development of Solent Refit as a leading  deep water superyacht facility in the UK.

The yard operates an open policy for all boatbuilders and contractors, offering a cost effective solution to major yacht refit work. The parallel lift is capable of lifting vessels up to 60 metres long and 1500 tons.
