Motor Yacht of the Year: Lurssen 156m Dilbar

We applaud the triumph of Lurssen Yachts, as the 156m Mega Yacht Dilbar receives the “Motor Yacht of the Year” award at the 2017 World Superyacht Awards. The authorities of Boat International Media held the event this year in Florence, Italy. Perhaps, the most important event in the industry, WSA attracted the elite of the yachting world anticipated decisions of the judges selecting the best of the best yachts delivered in 2016. Dilbar also won in her category for “Displacement Motoryacht 3,000 GT and Above”. “One of the most complex and challenging yachts to be built”, as the judges described her, Dilbar is officially largest superyacht in the world in terms of gross tonnage. According to Lurssen, Dilbar’s gross tonnage is 15,917 tonnes, while her owner/guest area is of a very impressive size of 3,800 sqm.
