M/Y ZULU received a 6m/19.7ft hull extension an extensive work to the interiors during her refit, the former changes obvious immediately when comparing the ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos of the stern. The tall staircases connecting the lower swim platform to the main deck have been replaced by broad central steps, either side of which double sunbeds have been added above and below. An exterior door in the side leads through to the tender garage.

Biminis and sun umbrellas allow guests to choose the amount of shade they want the area to receive, and the main deck aft now has sunbeds in addition to a formal dining area close to the doors into the main salon.

The interiors have been restyled for a more high-quality finish and cohesive appearance. In the main foyer, the stone floor has been replaced by white Calacatta marble and the staircase has a light gloss finish. Ostrich leather now covers the handrail and painted brushed leather covers the walls in addition to colourful new artwork.

The upper deck skylounge has seen the greatest transformation with the addition of a mirror library wall and the removal of walls and the aft doors which have been replaced by glass sliding doors. Teak decking flows from the aft decks into the main salon and skylounge for better flow between inside and out – even the ceiling panels have been designed to match.

The bedrooms have ‘grown-up’ and the vibrant colour scheme of white, red and blue has been replaced by a more sedate and modern scheme of dark wood panelling to contrast with the crisp white walls, carpets and bedding. The ceiling spotlights have been replaced by strip lighting and these small optical differences have emphasised the space that was already present.
