Highly anticipated Asia Superyacht Rendezvous 2015 kicks off

Today, December 16, 2015 marks the start of the highly anticipated Asia Superyacht Rendezvous. The event represents the largest at sea gathering of superyachts in Asia, hosted by the fantastic surroundings of Phuket in Thailand.

An amazing fleet of luxury vessels, lined up on the dock to participate in the 15th edition of the Rendezvous, includes the 65m gaff rigged Indonesian Phinisi LAMIMA; two majestic classics: the 29m S/Y Aventure, and the 31m charter yacht Lady Thuraya; the 37m Dubois-designed S/Y BLISS; the all-new 20m S/Y Arabella; the sleek 32m cruiser ANTARES by Maoira Yachts; the high performance 33-metre custom built AFTER 8, as well as the all-new 21m M/Y DARLING by Monte Carlo Yachts.

The event starts with a Thai Buddhist Blessing of the fleet. Subsequently, the graceful LAMIMA will host some of the best mixologists in the area that will prepare cocktails for the guests to enjoy.

Tomorrow, December 17, 2016 will be marked by the start of the racing with sailing yachts competing on a course through the islands of Phuket, whilst the motor yachts follow all the action and relax in the fantastic surroundings.

The entertainment programme is composed of a selection of elegant dinners and drinks receptions for all guests to enjoy, including the popular Feadship Challenge, which sees teams compete with model boats for some light-hearted fun. The event will come to an end on Friday evening, with the VIP Grand Finale Gala Dinner.
