Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2019: Celebrating 60 years

The 60th edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is due to take place from the 30th October to the 3rd of November. What to see at the show? Is it worth going to the FLIBS this year? The answer is yes. This year’s event promises a massive line-up of luxury yachts at seven different locations around East Fort Lauderdale.

What to see on the water

Renowned international shipbuilders will be displaying their superyachts amongst the 15,000 boats attending the show, some of the most noteworthy being:

Recent launch 27m/88.6ft luxury yacht LeVen 90 of the fledgling LeVen line will also be making her public debut at FLIBS 2019.

On land exhibitors

More than 1,200 exhibitors will be in attendance at FLIBS 2019, showcasing the very latest water toys, technological innovations for yacht Owners, events and ‘experience’ sessions, plus luxury lifestyle brands from boutiques offering men’s and women’s accessories to top quality wines.

The Chef Competition

The Sunset Soiree & Yacht Chef Competition is returning for a second year and will take place at the Superyacht Village at Pier 66 South on the 1st of November from 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm.

On the night of the event guests will have the opportunity to sample mouth-watering cuisine from four exceptional Yacht Chefs, while craft cocktails and samples from luxury food stalls will also be available before guests are serenaded by live acts including The Wheeland Brothers. A panel of judges will decide the winners, who will claim prizes and the title of Best Yacht Chef of FLIBS 2019.
