UAE-based Enata Marine has used the occasion of the Dubai International Boat Show 2018 to reveal their dynamic foiler yacht, known simply as FOILER, which can reach speed of up to 40 knots.

Built with retractable carbon fibre hydrofoils, the yacht flies up to 1.5m/5ft above the ground for a comfortable ride that avoids the swell that most conventional tenders hit when travelling at speed.

The propulsion system combines two diesel and electric 320hps BMW engines as well as Enata’s custom electric torpedoes, which together provide up to 20% greater fuel efficiency at maximum speeds.

Four foils keep the boat anchored in the water for unprecedented stability and reactivity that heralds the next generation in travel across the waves.

At 9.45m/31ft in length with a beam of 3.3m/10.8ft when the foils are raised, FOILER can be stored in tender garages and is likely to become an addition to many superyachts for transport and for recreation.
