Running from November 8 to 10, the 2012 Dubai Pre-Owned Boat Show will be hosted by the award-winning Dubai Creek Marina, as announced by this excellent superyacht marina together with title sponsor MIDEX AIRLINES. Following its continuous success over the last two years, this event represents the only ‘Pre-Owned Boat Show’ in the Middle East.

Now in its third year, the specialist event is unique in the region, providing yacht buyers a dedicated, streamlined platform onsite complete with sellers, financers and insurers, providing the ability to ‘buy and sail’ on the same day. With all types of boat on offer, from large yachts to fun inflatables, there are a variety of cost-effective options to appeal to all, and with the festive atmosphere, live entertainment and variety of food outlets available, the event provides the ideal family day out. This has led to demand increasing year on year, with last year’s event attracted almost 6,500 visitors and resulted in 22 boats being sold at a combined price of over AED26 million.

This year Dubai Creek Marina will be jam-packed with exhibitors showing off their latest products in the sunshine, as well as food and beverage stalls offering delicious dishes from around the world and a smorgasbord of family entertainment to add some excitement to the already eagerly anticipated weekend.

For the first time in the history of the show, a Jet Ski Zone is being introduced. The PWC (Personal Watercraft) space will work on a first come, first served basis and a fee of AED 150 will allow jet ski owners to display their jet skis for sale during all three days of the show.

Speaking about his expectations for this year’s event, Abdulla Ali Al Noon, Marina Operations Manager of Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club said; “Last year’s had an impressive turnout, and demand for quality vessels in the region has been steadily increasing. The Middle East hosts some of the world’s most impressive yachts and the fact that there are so many miles of beautiful coastline and impressive marinas means that a specialist event such as ours is a perfect addition to this industry. The interest that we have had from buyers and sponsors for this year’s event has been excellent and we are accommodating this growth in demand by increasing the space available for boats to over 85 this year. The retail area has also been expanded significantly to cover everything from navigation units to boat engines.”

With MIDEX AIRLINES remaining on board as title sponsors for the third consecutive year, the boat show is the perfect place for customers looking to purchase a pre-owned vessel as they will provide special boat finance and insurance offers on site. Commenting on their long-term commitment to the event, Jassim Al Bastaki, Director General, MIDEX AIRLINES said; “We have sponsored the event since its debut in 2010 as we want to promote the yachting community and help support an inclusive event that offers cost effective solutions for a fascinating and truly amazing industry that has been going from strength to strength in the Middle East. The fact that it is held along the edges of the beautiful and historic Dubai Creek reiterates the magic of being able to enjoy the wondeful waters around the region.”

The Dubai Pre-Owned Boat Show offers absolutely everything an aspiring or current boat owner could possibly need in one convenient location, by combining great deals on pre-owned vessels of all sizes from world renowned manufacturers, alongside leading marine traders covering finance, insurance, accessories, maintenance services and supplies.
