DMCA to participate in Seatrade Middle East Maritime 2014

Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) has announced its participation in the Seatrade Middle East Maritime 2014, the maritime market place for the Middle East region, which will be held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center (DICEC) from October 28 to 30, 2014. The event, which will run in conjunction with Dubai Maritime Week 2014, aims to shed light on the different aspects of the region’s maritime sector. DMCA will be attending through a specially designed pavilion that looks towards showcasing Dubai’s leading competitive features as a key player in the international maritime industry.

Organized by Seatrade, the Seatrade Middle East Maritime 2014 is poised to attract wide international participation—giving participants the opportunity to learn more about the available opportunities within the local, regional and international maritime sectors, as well as build robust partnerships with major industry leaders. The event is of strategic importance as it offers an ideal platform to promote fruitful cooperation amongst decision-makers, experts, businessmen and industry professionals to exchange best international practices that can help in further developing the maritime sector.

Throughout the event, the authority will be highlighting all the aspects related to maritime safety, secure navigation and environmental security, while also shedding light on the leading position of Dubai as a first-class international maritime hub,” Ali added.

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, Dubai Maritime Week 2014 will feature a series of interactive events including conferences, panel discussions, workshops, awards ceremony and many more. The event will also include the inaugural Dubai Maritime Summit, an initiative aimed to promote Dubai as a leading host of international maritime-based events.
