Boustead Yachts

Boustead Yachts, a large ship building company in Malaysia,  has begun negotiations with a known European superyacht building company (yet to be named) to build several production superyachts. The superyachts are to range between 25m-30m (82ft-98ft) in length. The Malaysia shipbuilder can presently produce yachts to 60 metres (197ft) in length and may expand current facilities to build the new yachts on its 30 acre site in Langkawi.

Boustead yachts also had plans to build two large motor yachts over 70m in 2007 in collaboration with Monaco Yacht & Technologies. Although still alive those projects are currently on hold pending a more favourable financial situation. The company is also currently doing a complete refit on the mast of a 34m (111ft) sailing yacht called Obsession II.
