Trim tab manufacturer Bennett Marine now offers two comprehensive hydraulic trimming systems to meet the demands of the larger motor yacht market. Available worldwide, the new Bennett Premier Line of BXT and SST Systems is made for Motor Yachts, Military/Commercial and Sport Fishing vessels that face the most challenging conditions on the water.

The BXT System is designed for vessels from 40 feet (12m) to 60 feet (18m). The SST System is designed for vessels from 50 feet (16m) to 120 feet (38m).

The dual acting hydraulic systems lock the precision-machined, solid stainless steel actuators into place, securing the trim tabs in position while backing down or in other extreme conditions. The system also features 7-gauge (4.5 mm) stainless steel, heavy duty trim planes with Bennett’s exclusive interlocking hinge, and all systems come standard with trim tab indication and Bennett’s patented Auto Tab Retractor.

“The stainless steel actuators in these systems are uniquely designed for both larger yachts and vessels that undergo harsher conditions,” says Joseph Schneider, Director of International Operations. “It is the only actuator that features internal indication sensors and internal hydraulic lines so no wires or cables are exposed to the marine environment. The design is functional and attractive – exhibiting both the durability and strength required by these larger vessels.”

The SST and BXT Systems can easily be retrofitted to existing vessels, and all wire lengths are customized to the yacht’s specifications. “The result is a hassle-free, efficient installation,” says Schneider. “We will work with the builder, designer, dealer or captain to customize the best system for that vessel.”
