Boating has always been an important part of Bahrain’s life, being an island with year-round warm weather. Situated in the fabulous yacht charter destination – the Middle East, Bahrain now provides a vast range of different water sports, from diving and fishing to kite surfing and dolphin watching, to those visiting aboard luxury charter yachts, and not only. These are expected to increase during the upcoming few years.

Whether for work, sport or recreation, the Kingdom depends greatly on the Coast Guard to protect those who work and play in the surrounding ocean.

The role of the Coast Guard is to regulate behaviour at sea as well as perform search and rescue missions for boats in distress, much like the combined role of the police and ambulance services on land. Their responsibility stretches from military vessels to smaller leisure boats.

CEO and Organiser of Bahrain Boat Shows International, Mr. Wael Juju said, “The importance of the Coast Guard is absolutely immeasurable. Their role is essential, not only for the safety but also for the education of mariners in and around Bahrain. Their presence ensures that the leisure marine industry is able to grow while maintaining the highest safety standards. I am proud to be able to invite Brigadier Alaa Sayadi and his team to once again participate in Bahrain Boat Show International so that they are able to explore the latest innovative technologies, new boats and equipment that will be on display at this year’s show.”
