Australian companies are sure to impress at this year’s International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) – a well known platform to launch new products and technologies. The Australian Marine Export Group (AIMEX) the peak body for the Australian Marine Export Industry is taking an impressive delegation of industry heavyweights to IBEX including Austral Propellers, Aqualuma Marine Lighting, VEEM Propellers, PolyFlex Group, FinScan, Stress Free Marine, Coursemaster Autopilots, Hydrive Engineering, Palm Unbreakable Drinkware and Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

Palm Unbreakable will be featuring its glow-in-the-dark drink ware – which has proven to be a big hit with the marine cruising.

AIMEX CEO MaryAnne Edwards says “The continued support of Australian companies for IBEX reinforces the opportunities within the US market despite the recent economic crisis. There is still a real need to maintain a profile in this key market. With the dollar having dropped in recent weeks this will be a positive for the Australian companies showcasing their products at this show.  IBEX attracts significant numbers of US boat builders and has traditionally been a very fruitful show for Australian companies.”

It is understood that the size of the show has increased this year another good sign for the industry.

IBEX will be held in Louisville, Kentucky 17-19 October followed by the Fort Lauderdale 27-31 Oct.

The Australia Superyacht and marine export Industry will also be well represented at this show.

Stress Free Marine has produced the NG Series Stress Free is a compact electric drum-style anchor winch used to raise, lower and secure anchors from the helm at the touch of a button. The patented design allows the anchor to be lowered under powered control at 90 fpm or to freefall without risk of over run or tangles at up to 600 fpm which means in 60 feet of water the anchor is on the bottom in 6 seconds. The built in actuating mechanism disengages the drum off the drive system and acts as a brake to prevent the spool from over run by continuously applying an even load at both ends of the drum. Once the free fall actuator is switched to OFF the robust drive is automatically re-engaged, locking the mechanism so that additional tying off is not necessary. Using an NG Series Stress Free makes anchoring a breeze.

Coursemaster Autopilots Pty Ltd in Sydney has been designing, manufacturing and exporting quality marine autopilots for 30 years. Commercial and leisure boat skippers around the world acknowledge the superior performance, toughness and reliability of Coursemaster Autopilots whether for a fishing, charter, tug, power or sailing vessel from five to 100 metres.

The Palm Unbreakable Boating and Camping ranges are 2-shot moulded and feature an integral non-slip base with a polycarbonate top. The wine and tumblers stack for space saving storage and transport.
