The well-established technical partnership between Ingemar and the Marina Fiera di Genova, which began in 2005, will be renewed for the 50th Genoa Boat Show in 2011. The exhibition area by the sea, which was so successful last year, will continue to guarantee easy circulation by the general public and exhibitors. Its 6 m wide piers connecting the two basins of the show ensure the smooth flow of boat lovers without holdups or bottlenecks.

Completing this successful partnership, as usual, a well tried and tested team of Ingemar professionals will guarantee technical assistance for the floating exhibition spaces during the setting up and dismantling phases as well as throughout the show.

The floating Ingemar jetties for the Genoa Boat Show are made of modular elements with timber walkways in exotic hardwoods, the framework structures are in galvanised steel and the floaters in concrete with an expanded polystyrene core.

Moreover the piers will be supplied with railings, fully fitted out with stanchions and ropes, to guarantee maximum security and ease of circulation by the public; the wide connecting gangways will have gentle slopes to provide maximum comfort and easy access for the disabled.

The Genoa Boat Show is recognised as an attraction and point of reference for thousands of Italian and foreign visitors and exhibitors. For Ingemar, which for over 30 years has been a leader in the design and construction of ports and marinas and a symbol of pre-eminence of the ‘Made in Italy‘ trademark, it is yet another opportunity to test its efficiency in the field – or rather, efficiency on water.

For over 30 years Ingemar has been designing and building pontoons and floating breakwaters worldwide and today is one of the few companies in the sector having its own independent production facilities which allows it to carry out Research and Development in order to anticipate market demands. The ISO 9001:2008 certification for design, construction and installation testifies to its constant dedication and commitment to quality and is complemented by the SOA certification by the port sector for commissions of up to Euro 15.5 million. The company’s Head Offices are in Milan and production and customer services are at Casale sul Sile near Venice.
