Built upon Paragon’s proven hull platform that consistently yields excellent seakeeping, superyacht SkyMaster incorporates the latest in advanced construction techniques and vibration attenuation technology, which is a cornerstone of the Paragon philosophy. Whisper quiet and virtually vibration-free, this latest addition to the Paragon line is designed and engineered throughout to provide its owners and guests with the quietest, most comfortable cruising experience of any yacht in its class.

The SkyMaster yacht features submarine-class propellers driven by Seatorque shafts that are powered by MAN engines through a ZF gearbox. This configuration ensures that the entire drive train is isolated from the hull structure while the engine room itself has been designed to eliminate any transfer of vibration through the bulkheads or ceiling. This yields decibel levels that are about that of normal conversation at cruising speeds.

The SkyMaster superyacht is so named for its “Bahamas House” – a voluminous superstructure featuring vertical windows that enhance the plentiful interior space while at the same time diminishing heat and A/C load.

Within an interior designed by Marty Lowe, the luxury yacht SkyMaster comfortably accommodates eight guests in three king staterooms, a fourth queen-size stateroom and an additional bunk, and includes accommodations for a captain and three crew members, all easily serviced by three full sets of laundry machines. Her private king-size master stateroom is situated aft on the mezzanine deck to take advantage of panoramic views. Other unique interior features include a panoramic dining lounge, an innovative wheelhouse with three electric berthable helm chairs, and a spacious flybridge.

The SkyMaster yacht also features Paragon’s “Bahamas Cockpit” design – a large tiered mezzanine and cockpit area aft of the main salon intended as a grand entertainment platform. The covered upper mezzanine includes a relaxing seating area with plenty of storage while the lower cockpit features all of the amenities wanted at hand while enjoying Bahamian waters, including a Viking gas barbecue, wet bar, commercial-grade ice chipper and built-in cooler.

Designed specifically to tow a large center console, the SkyMaster yacht features integrated tow line stowage on the interior port and starboard sides of the cockpit. Another unique feature is the dedicated, USCG-compliant and RINA-certified, 300-gallon gasoline tank and pump designated for fueling the center console and/or tender on extended excursions.

“Every experienced Captain knows that the greatest causes of journey fatigue are vibration and noise,” says company founder and president Scott Robinson. “From the initial concept of the SkyMaster, we have set out to design the most comfortable cruising yacht in its class. We believe that the 100-foot Bahamas SkyMaster breaks the sound barrier for yachts in its class.”

The first SkyMaster yacht was recently launched at Paragon’s Kaohsiung, Taiwan-based shipyard, American Pacific Boatworks, and will debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October, 2014.
