Palatial in scale, the boat enjoys ultra-spacious accommodation for up to ten guests and offers the promise of extended cruising in total luxury.

The Sunseeker 40 metre superyacht has all the features you would expect of a luxury ocean-going vessel, including the latest navigation and communication equipment. An elegant, sleek design houses a tri-deck interior layout plus a skydeck that provides plenty of seating and sunbathing space along with a full wetbar and feature spa tub, the perfect place to relax outdoors.

A wide choice of options include hydraulically opening balconies in the main deck saloon and master stateroom, a design innovation that brings the outdoors in and provides majestic vantage points at anchor. When added to the boat’s other refinements, they provide further proof that, year on year, Sunseeker continues to successfully re-define what is meant by ‘luxury’.

Thanks to the innovative design of an area of the boat that few customers will ever see – the underwater section – the Manhattan 63 motor yacht now allows for either a shaft drive or the Volvo Penta IPS 1200. During trials the latter option produced fantastic results in performance, handling and fuel economy.

Interior options offer main deck or lower deck galley, three or four staterooms with a midships full-beam master and very large hull-side panoramic windows. With the IPS option, clients can have a generous crew/aft cabin. Saloon and entertainment space has been increased and enlarged, panoramic superstructure windows ensure a feeling of openness.

The sense of space increases on the flybridge, which offers twin helm seats, wetbar, forward sunbed, relaxed seating for 8 to 10 guests and an overall length of over 6.5 metres.

More show highlights

A further nine Sunseeker craft will be displayed at the show, including the Sunseeker 80 Yacht and the Sunseeker Portofino 48 motor yacht on the Sunseeker stand (C006), plus three vessels on the pontoon (Berths M540, 542, 544) including the Sunseeker 88 SuperYacht and the 30 Metre Yacht.

Sunseeker Founder, Robert Braithwaite, said: “Sunseeker has always believed in two things. The first is getting things absolutely right – lavishing time and energy on the design stage of every boat, then blending state-of-the-art technology and traditional boat-building skills to ensure every Sunseeker is utterly beautiful.  The second is a drive for innovation, resulting in craft that continue to push boundaries in terms of performance and luxury.

He continues: “In the 2010 season alone we have delivered nearly fifty boats of over 80 feet and have now firmly established Sunseeker as a significant producer of super yachts as well as a brand with enormous global strength. We now sell to five continents and 61 countries, proving that the firm is truly world class.”
