Read the full Greece Charter Guide

A 7-day private yacht charter itinerary visting the Ionian Islands, Greece.

Day 1

Fly into the islands of Zakynthos where your crew will be waiting to welcome you onboard. Zakynthos is one of the most beautiful of the Ionian Islands and is well worth exploring by land and by sea. Spend the first night in the vibrant port and relax into the Greek way of life.

Day 2

Cruise around the island today to the famous Smugglers Cove….one of the loveliest beaches in the area. Anchor off and spend the day relaxing, swimming and snorkeling. For the more adventurous, the Blue Grottos provide some exciting snorkeling.

Day 3

After a leisurely breakfast, depart this morning to the east coast of Ithaca. Throughout the ages Ithaca has been known as the home of Odysseus. For years Homer's hero wandered before he finally returned to his island kingdom. Though he visited beautiful, exotic, far-flung lands, Ithaca never left his mind for a moment. And even today, once you've been to Ithaca, it's difficult to forget this small, mountainous island with its captivating coves that conjure up some earthly paradise. Ithaca is separated from Cephalonia by a channel some 2 to 4 kilometers wide. The west coast of the island is steep and almost barren in contrast to the green, gentle shoreline on the east. Ithaca offers lovely beaches for bathing and caves for exploring. Anchor off Nisos Ithaki- Vathi – proclaimed as one of the top ten anchorages in the Greek Islands.

Day 4

Cruise today to Kefanlonia. Kefalonia has hundreds of picturesque villages and small towns, with an architecture and tradition all their own, surrounded by enchanting nature. Beautiful houses, tiny villas and gardens with countless flowers, create a palette of colors and a captivating aroma. It is perhaps the most beautiful of all Greek villages. Anchor off at one of the many beautiful bays for lunch and snorkeling before heading into the vibrant port of Fiskado for the evening.

Day 5

Cruise to Lefkas and head towards Vasiliki in the south. Near this pretty village and its long, pebble beaches is the rocky headland called Sappho's Leap, where, ancient legend has it, unrequited love could be best served by throwing oneself over the 235-ft. drop into the Ionian below. To commune with other yachtsmen, anchor at the resort of Nidri for a taverna meal and a glimpse of wooded islets in the bay, among them Skorpios, the private island of the fantastically wealthy, but now-deceased Greek ship owner Aristotle Onassis.

Day 6

Today cruise to Antipaxos and its larger sister, Paxos. Stop and enjoy lunch at one of the beautiful beaches or explore the caves at Antipaxos before moving onto spend the evening in the port of Gaios at one of many waterside tavernas. If you prefer some peace and tranquility, spend the night at anchor in a beautiful bay in the north of Paxos.

Day 7

Today cruise to Corfu. The main town is full of cultural diversity from its Italianate Spianada (esplanade) in the main square to concerts of British-style marching bands, games of British cricket, the superb Museum of Asian Art and the small Archaeological Museum containing a striking bust of Medusa. Spend the night at Naok Yacht club in Corfu town.

Day 8

Enjoy a leisurely brekafast and prepare for disembarkation by midday.
