Veritais, a supplier of high-specification entertainment systems to the worldwide leisure marine industry, has devised and installed an innovative Sky HD satellite TV package for the 29m performance cruising yacht Infinity of Cowes that allows its owners to enjoy high-definition satellite entertainment at a fraction of the usual cost.

Working with a European partner, Veritais now offers a flexible annual service ideal for mid-sized yachts that allows access at a single point to the all-inclusive Sky HD bundle during the months that the craft is being actively used and which then, in return for losing the premium channels, continues at a greatly reduced rate during the off-season when the owner and guests are not on board.  This provides substantial cost-savings over conventional packages without any loss of amenity.

For larger yachts Veritais recommends Sky’s annual commercial package, where for a single, one‐off fee the yacht is provided with up to six receivers and cards. The discount that comes with this offer means that savings over the individual package are made once just two or more boxes are required.

As well as supplying the satellite box, infra‐red remote control and premium quality cables for Infinity, Veritais also connected the receiver to the existing Sea Tel satellite dome, installed optical connectivity for the audio output, and connected the Sky system to the existing audio‐visual system to give the owner one‐touch operation and 5.1 surround sound.
