Positioned in the center of the popular Spanish yacht charter destination – Palma de Mallorca, Moll Vell is a fabulous superyacht marina, scheduled for opening in spring 2014. Below is a video of the marina, showing how it has progressed since the last update in March 2013. The video also shows how the marina looks with plenty of superyachts as it provided the setting for the Palma Superyacht Brokerage & Charter Show 2013, which ran alongside the Palma Boat Show.

New Emergency Ladder for Palma’s Moll Vell Marina

In a constant endeavour to find the best quality and most practical products for Palma’s new improved Moll Vell superyacht marina, Joint Managing Partner Oscar Siches has installed an inventive emergency ladder he came across on his travels in Florida.

This innovative “floating” ladder is designed to stay out of the water at all times which eradicates corrosion and any chance of marine growth that would otherwise make the steps slippery and dangerous. Grab the handles, step on the first rung and your body weight will lower the ladder into the water. Once you’ve emerged on to dry land, the ladder will return to its floating position above the waterline.

The product is easy to install, no specialist equipment required, and maintenance free. Contact Oscar: marinamatters@siches.com.

Below is a short video of the new emergency ladder in Moll Vell, filmed just last week during the preparations for the Superyacht Cup. The video puts a funny spin on a serious matter.
