The hull and deck are constructed in composite sandwich construction, using vacuum-injection, resulting in a stiff and light boat. At strategic points the hull is reinforced with Kevlar®. A V-Drive arrangement of the engines has been chosen for the VanDutch 40 yacht. This results in optimal use of the available space and the centre of gravity of the yacht is as much aft as possible, in order to increase speed and reduce fuel consumption.

There is room for 8 people around the hydraulic table that can effortlessly be transformed into a very spacious bed. The spacious lounge area and sunbed are situated in the lee of the windscreen, providing the excellent sailing performance in great comfort. There are also air conditioning, heating, flat-screen TV, sound system, refrigerator, microwave as well as Nespresso machine. The VanDutch 40 also has a bathroom with toilet and hot as well as cold running water.

Available in multiple colours, the Esthec® composite deck gives the luxurious experience of teak, without the drawbacks of maintenance. The deck is fitted with pop-up cleats, flush deck hatches and pop-up navigation lights. The swim ladder and the fender storage are also recessed. In this way the sleek lines of the design can be fully appreciated.

The VanDutch 40 yacht stands for rapid acceleration and excellent cornering. Thanks to a choice of several models of Yanmar engines, a top speed of over 40 knots can be attained. Propulsion is through conventional propeller shafts with high efficiency propellers, running in specially designed tunnels. This ensures a unique and near horizontal running angle. Manoeuvring the VanDutch 40 is simple, partly due to the stern and bow thrusters. In addition, the Raymarine autopilot and navigation system ensure that the driver will be in control of the VanDutch 40 at all times and in a relaxed manner.
