The outstanding Horizon EP148 motor yacht Horizon Polaris has been honoured with the Taiwan Excellence Gold Award at the recent 22nd Taiwan Excellence Awards. Superyacht Horizon Polaris was one of 1,281 candidates from 504 companies shortlisted for the prominent award.

The winners of the 22nd Taiwan Excellence Awards, which is hosted by the Taiwan Bureau of Foreign Trade, represent the most revolutionary, highest quality, and highest value-added products made in Taiwan, and the Taiwan Excellence Gold Award is the top honor within the Taiwan Excellence Awards.
During this year’s award ceremony, Taiwan Vice President Wu Den-yih praised Taiwanese companies for their dedication to innovative products as well as for creating products that are internationally recognized; he also noted that these companies are gaining a market share in their respective industries while helping to boost Taiwan’s export levels. Mr. James Fwu accepted the award on behalf of Horizon Group and expressed Horizon’s extreme pride in not only receiving the Gold Award but to be the first yacht manufacturer to win the award.

The Horizon EP148 luxury yacht Horizon Polaris is built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure and also features a bulbous bow and full BV ice classification. Powered with twin MTU 12V4000 M60 1760HP engines, her full displacement hull allows her to cruise at a range of over 3500 nautical miles at 11.5 knots, and she can reach a top speed of 16 knots.
