The Antibes-based Sea Design, a supplier of personalised superyacht uniforms, has presented its New Build Service specialising in uniforms for new as well as in-progress superyacht builds, following recent success for the company, which supplied new uniforms for charter yacht QM of London’s entire 12-professional crew in only two days.

When supplying new uniforms for luxury yacht QM of London, Sea Design was faced with the last-minute challenge and negotiated a number of obstacles along the way including ill-fitting shoes and changes to the colour.

With the New Build Service, other superyachts and yacht managers can now benefit from the skills, initiative and problem solving with which, Sea Design’s team successfully serviced the luxury superyacht QM of London.

Christine Tréhard, manager of Sea Design’s Antibes-based shop, explained the company’s New Build Service to Yachting Pages, “We start with a storyboard to create a proposed uniform for the new-build yacht.”

If required, Helen Murphy, managing director, can journey to the shipyard in Sea Design’s van with uniform samples to show the client. Or clients can visit Sea Design’s private showroom at 3 Avenue Tournelli, Antibes.

“We can then supply the superyacht’s managers with samples of the uniforms in order to find out what they do or don’t want,” said Christine. “The process is definitely collaborative.”

By collaborating and regularly consulting the new build vessel’s managers and crew, Sea Design can produce uniforms which match the boat’s image, design, or other requirements.

“We always say we provide uniform that is fashionable, but also smart and practical. The stretch in all our shorts, skirts and trousers is important for comfort and fit,” explained Christine.
