The UK-based RIB constructer, Scorpion Ribs, is already well known for building some of the best ribs in the world, featuring unprecedented sea-keeping, comfort as well as safety. They are now providing this heritage, and more importantly their range of record breaking deep-v hulls, to commercial operators with the introduction of a new range of boats from 8 to 12 metres.

Managing Director, Patrick Byrne said of the new venture: “This is not a change of direction for Scorpion, it is purely a reaction to repeated requests from commercial operators for us to make our award winning Scorpion hulls available to them. Recent investment in infrastructure and facilities has now given us the opportunity to expand our production and to comfortably furnish multiple contracts. We will of course still be manufacturing our range of premium quality RIBs for private clients.”
Scorpion has recruited Leigh French to head up commercial sales. He has extensive experience of the commercial marine sector, and has recently managed major capital expenditure projects for BAE Systems and Bowman Power.
Scorpion will be at Seaworks in Southampton Berth 35 from 25th-27th June.
