The impressive, newly launched super yacht CEYLAN from the Turkish Yacht designer and builder Riza Tansu and her slightly larger sistership NOMADE are  a result of long and detailed design work taking over a year.

Riza Tansu Mothership Ceylan launched in 2010

First starting with the conceptual design, then working closely with the clients, designing towards their needs, but also retaining the company’s unique design philosophy and style overall. Riza Tansu favours large open decks and amenities in the exteriors as the boats, as well as Ceylan and Nomade,  are primarily intended for Mediterranean use. The design studio’s founder, Riza Tansu, has lived onboard his first yacht, he designed and built for himself, for a long time, and has also other yachting experiences, which gives him a great insight into what works and what doesn’t when it comes to the world of yachts.

On particular focus of the company when it comes the newly launched 35.2 metre  motor yacht Ceylan and the 36.40 metre super yacht Nomade, is a very pronounced design emphasis, as they obsess over every detail, both in exteriors and interiors. Every employee is driven by the love for their job! Riza Tansu’s design team works very closely with the customer throughout the whole process, thus creating a close and friendly relationship, involving and guiding them in the process. Their team of Naval Architects also provide design support for every aspect of the design and building process in order to achieve the highest quality possible. Riza Tansu is also working with top quality subcontractors, with whom they have years of business experience, which creates mutual trust and understanding.

Exterior Staircase - Motoryacht Ceylan

The main difference between the motor yacht Ceylan and Nomade is their length. The 36.40 metre Mothership OneTwenty Nomade is extended by 1.20 metres to accommodate larger tenders mainly, as well as including some personal choices of the owners, such as different exterior seating units and changes in the bar area, amongst others. Apart from some of these features Ceylan Super Yacht and Nomade SuperYacht are very similar.

The Mothership series yachts, such as Ceylan and Nomade, are built around the open spaces, especially suited for Mediterranean use. In contrast to the traditional yachting sense, interior volumes are not maximized but enclosed, rather, the owner’s needs are met in an optimum interior volume, and exterior spaces are emphasized. Keeping the interiors on the optimum also allows the designers and the architects to be very generous in the exterior spaces and dimensions. Both on the motoryacht Ceylan as well as on the yacht Nomade, they utilise a maximum amount of space for storage, both on decks and in the interiors. There is also a lazarette on the aft for storing diving and technical equipment. The tenders are exposed and a central part of the design idea, especially as the yacht is mostly for use in south Turkey and Greek Islands, with the tenders frequently used for island hopping and relaxing in secluded bays.

Both of the yachts, Ceylan and Nomade, are built with RINA and MCA specifications. Needles to say all equipment and systems are top quality. In addition to the seaworthy design of the hull, there are zero speed stabilizers. There are also bow and stern thrusters for greater maneuverability.
