Motor yacht CRYSTAL has been launched by Lurssen Yachts. At 124m in length superyacht CRYSTAL comes in a around the 10 largest private luxury yacht ever launched to date, edging out motor yachts 8th WONDER (123m), ALEXANDER (122m) and motor yacht Á'(119m). Yacht CRYSTAL is also just shorter than Paul Allen’s famous yacht OCTOPUS – the 9th largest yacht in 2010 at 126 metres. LOA is only one measurement of size and project CRYSTAL could be larger by volume or displacement.

Very little is known about the five – six deck Lurssen yacht CRYSTAL at this time, except here name (which is a project name) and her length. A Photo of CRYSTAL is pending, as is more detailed information on the yacht. While she is launched a superyacht of this size takes some time to complete, probably several months, and then sea trials and testing will take place before she is handed over to her new owner.

Lurssen Yachts, a German based shipyard, is one of the largest high quality builder of very large mega yachts such as project CRYSTAL. Lürssen superyachts has fabricated some of the most magnificent yachts in history including, the 319’ Carinthia VII, the 315’ Limitless, the 377’ Pelorus, and the 414’ Octopus. The German Company has won many awards, with the most recent being the 2004 International Superyacht Design Award for “Pelorus”, in the best power 43m plus category.
