The latest model in the evolution of the Hampton Endurance hybrid hull long range cruising yacht series is the spectacular Endurance 870 superyacht. Engineering advances in the technology of this hull type are mixed up with the experience of the earlier 55-75 foot Endurance yachts. Hampton’s already excellent quality of building and finish are enhanced in keeping with this class of yacht. The result is the latest, superior, most sophisticated motor yacht Endurance 870.

The size and 23 foot beam of this latest series gives exceptional space and luxurious accommodations, combined with remarkable stability and seakindliness, even well beyond that of the earlier Endurance models.  And, like them, the luxury yacht Endurance 870 easily exceeds the US Coast Guard and IMO commercial passenger vessel stability requirements for open ocean service. Each new model is formally stability-tested to assure compliance. This highest order of safety provides owners security and peace of mind.

As both experience and model testing demonstrated, the ride quality and comfort at sea of the Endurance series is unparalleled. This larger version takes that to a new level.

Efficiency too hits a new high note, as further refinements produce a slipperier hull with more refined propulsion. As a result the Endurance 870 yacht will cruise at over 21 knots and attain a maximum speed over 24 knots with the efficient, modestly commercial rated 1450 HP rated Caterpillar C-32 engines. This is done without going to light construction, thus enabling very robust construction and fine accommodations. When throttled back to displacement speed, this yacht easily uses less fuel than most full displacement yachts of its size at 8-12 knots. Such boats are handicapped by hulls that originated as high cargo capacity vessels that need much ballast when comparatively “empty” in yacht service, in order to float on their lines and be stable. That much excess weight does matter.

The Endurance 870 superyacht is offered in both Pilothouse and Skylounge configurations, styled in keeping with the earlier models, now with a great deal of refinement.

The Pilothouse version is standard with 4 generous ensuite staterooms, crew accommodations for 2 to 4 persons, and spacious open public areas on the main deck and covered flying bridge. An additional cabin aft can be used for children, extra guests or crew, an office, or storage. The engine room features commercial ship quality systems, carefully laid out for easy access, and finished to fine yacht standards.

The main deck offers a huge salon, separate dining room, bar, day head, generous galley with dining bar, and social helm area. Aft is a large swim step and aft deck with wide settee and table with room to add 4 to 6 chairs.

The flying bridge provides a large settee and bar plus 3 helm companion seats forward, all covered with a hardtop canopy. Aft is a huge open deck for sunbathing, games, or several tenders and water toys.

The Skylounge model provides the same lower deck accommodations and features as the Pilothouse, except that one more ensuite VIP stateroom is added, and the master moves to the main deck. A distinctive grand staircase with circular lower foyer connects these decks

Its main deck is the same aft, plus full beam master suite forward with 270 degree view. A day head and huge galley with dining bar are midships. The long broad salon and dining space are adjacent aft. Open sight lines abound for a bright airy look.

The skylounge provides virtually another salon with generous seating options, a day head, office space, and 3 helm companion seats forward.  Aft is a large open deck with bar, for lounging and/or tenders and water toys. Forward is a full walkaround Portuguese bridge with wing control stations.

Both these models are also offered at 80 foot length and as 90 foot yachtfishers with serious fishing cockpits.

In summary, the Hampton Endurance series of yachts embodies a fully-integrated set of vital features that function together synergistically. Comfort, safety, efficiency, solid quality construction, and fine finish are smoothly blended into a yacht that feels right and works right, for confident passagemaking and lasting value.
