When it comes to exploring the world’s luxury yacht charter grounds it pays to have a shallow draft to pass through the reefs, and sailing catamarans such as LIR excel at reaching the secretive anchorages and shallow snorkelling spots that larger superyacht cannot reach. So what is life like aboard luxury catamaran LIR, and what does she offer?

LIR – Water toy fun

Luxury catamaran LIR has a great crew with extensive charter experience and skills that complement activities, and the yacht itself is designed for comfort, with versatile living areas designed to make full use of the space created by the 9.5m/31.2ft beam.

Interior

Luxury catamaran LIR is designed to sleep up to 8 guests across four en-suite cabins, which are placed in the hulls. Catamarans offer greater stability than monohulls and by having the accommodation level with the main deck, there is greater light, privacy and elevated views. The Master suite has its own salon with a sofa, desk and bookshelves, plus a large wardrobe to suit guests prepared for all weather conditions and any occasion.

The spacious salon in the centre has plush forward seating and a C-shaped sofa with table along the port wall, the opposite of which is a well-equipped galley for creating mouth-watering masterpieces and quick snacks as requested.

Exterior

Immediately aft of the salon is a desirable shaded cockpit coloured in white and cool blue with matching furnishings in wood. The alfresco dining area serves all 10 guests and has lighting for late-night gatherings to ensure that this area can be used throughout your stay. Curving sofas provide a more relaxed setting for after-dinner conversation, and raised sunbeds to port and starboard are a great place to sleep off a delicious three-course meal.

The foredeck perimeter is surrounded by plush seating and two drinks tables are placed along the aft for cocktails at sunset enjoying the elevated views.

The foredeck is the main sunbathing area on board and can be accessed via side walkways. Sun pads and cushions are placed in the section in front of the helm controls, while the two forward trampolines are perfect for resting while listening to the seawater gently slosh against the hull.

“All was perfect, especially with such a nice, competent, diligent and young team with Captain Darren. We had a fantastic week and would recommend highly Lir and her team.”

Whether guests are cruising through the Mediterranean cultural hot spots or discovering the many islands of the Caribbean, they have a versatile selection to suit the different charter grounds. Scuba dive enthusiasts are in good company aboard sailing yacht LIR – find out why below.

Fantastic crew

For all the space available on board, there is a minimal crew of three running everything to perfection: Captain Joss Kennedy-Hughes, Head stew & Mate Toby Wood, and Chef Aurélie Kersaudy. All have extensive charter experience and enjoy interacting with guests, and when desired can provide a discreet service.

For guests looking to learn safe usage of the Seadoos, Head Stew & Mate Toby Wood is an Advanced Powerboat Instructor. Captain Joss is a qualified PADI Open Water dive instructor, and Chef Aurélie Kersaudy has extensive dive experience herself. Her delectable meals are the result of years of experience in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, as well as ongoing development to keep her menu interesting and varied.

LIR offers fantastic service and dedicated crew
