Established in 1985, Bootwerk was previously known as ‘Hagebo’. Following a change in management in 2000, the name was changed to ‘Bootwerk Yacht Interiors’. Since then, the company has concentrated on building luxury interiors for the international yacht and superyacht building industry. Today, Bootwerk partners with various leading yards in the Netherlands and abroad, providing a mix of uncompromising quality, clear communication lines with clients, as well as a no-nonsense professional approach. In the future, Bootwerk aims to concentrate on and expand these core values.

Bootwerk Yacht Interiors has grown steadily over the years. As the company was commissioned for increasingly large luxury interiors, the capacity of the building where it had been established since its inception became increasingly stretched. The decision was therefore made to move to larger premises, and land was purchased for this purpose in 2011. Named de Zwaan, the terrain is located directly on the water in the delightful town of Woudsend.

The new company facilities built on this piece of land were recently inaugurated and span a total area of some 2,200 m². The workshop is equipped with the most modern machinery and designed for maximum efficiency so that Bootwerk can continue to be one step ahead in the future. The new building makes optimal use of the available natural light and space to ensure a pleasant working environment.

In addition to a well-equipped workshop, the building features a charming office on the first floor. The elaborate architectural structure has its feet in the Wellesloot, as it were, and combines elements of land and water. The level of finishing and the décor of the office are of the highest quality, as can be expected from an interior designer, and the premises offer magnificent views over the Frisian landscape.

“These new facilities and extensive equipment mean that Bootwerk is well placed to continue its technical development and innovative approach,” comments Frank Bos, Managing Director of Bootwerk. “The well-filled order book and strong brand name also provide a superb foundation for further expansion in the market.”
