Explorer Yacht Polar Bear Launched by Citadel Yachts

Citadel Yachts have launched their latest yacht build, the 102 foot explorer yacht ‘Polar Bear’. Motor yacht Polar Bear was conceived and built for an experienced U.S. yachtsman. M/Y Polar Bear has been robustly constructed for long range cruising and the boat features an efficient, steel displacement hull with a bulbous bow, active quad-fin stabilizers, bow and stern thrusters and fully protected propellers and rudders. The explorer yacht also features an especially large volume for her length.

The luxurious interior features handcrafted, satin finished, American cherry joinery throughout with a variety of exotic stone counter tops. The boat deck accommodates a 24-foot sport fishing boat and two RIB tenders. Yacht Polar Bear is to spend her first season in Alaska.

Expedition yacht Polar Bear has generous guest accommodations with two VIP staterooms, each with king-sized berths, and two further guest staterooms. All cabins has with spacious private heads/ensuites. The full-beam master suite is accessed via a private companionway located forward on the main deck, and includes a 52-inch flat screen TV with entertainment centre, king sized bed, and his and hers private baths with a large adjoining steam shower.

Superyacht Polar Bear is powered by twin 685-hp Caterpillar C-18B diesel engines. The yacht she has a range in excess of 5,000 nautical miles and her relatively generous 28 foot beam produces a large volume ship, with around 3,000 square feet of interior living space. Her engine room and lazarette givens another 720 square feet on top of this for storage and equipment.
