A 93-metre mega yacht with plenty of exciting new features, such as a helipad, huge deck spaces and amazing glass work was towed today from the construction hall at the famous Dutch shipyard Feadship. Under construction at the Royal van Lent yard in Kaag, Project 814 represents one of the largest projects of this prestigious builder, notable for the fully-custom-built super yachts constructed with exceptional attention to detail and amazing craftsmanship.
This particular vessel features naval architecture by De Voogt Naval Architects with exterior design by Michael Leach Design and interiors by Reymond Langton. Unfortunately, no official information is available as yet, but we know that her hull was completed approximately two years ago, and since then she was inside the Kaag yard getting ready for her big day and delivery, which is due in 2019.
The following months will include the addition of balconies to the yacht as well as wing stations. The yacht will be kept under cover over the winter period only to be seen in full splendour the next spring. The new 93m Feadship superyacht boasts a large 14.10-metre beam and will feature beautiful and elegant contemporary interior design. Finest and rarest materials from around the world are being used all throughout the vessel, with notable features including a two-deck IMAX theater, a fully certified helipad with Jet A fuel, four VIP cabins each with 8k TVs, and facilities that cater to a wide range of sports including golf, basketball, volleyball and soccer among many others.
“We want to thank Jan-Bart Verkuyl and everyone at Feadship for taking us on an amazing journey.” As expressed by the proud Owners who were present at the launch today.
814 features a contemporary exterior design with striking lines and large glazed areas. She will feature a number of exterior deck areas to entertain her guests as well as offer spaces to relax and dine. This project, as it is quite common with all important and large vessels, is shrouded in secrecy, however, CharterWorld will bring you more information and photos as soon as released.
