Entries are now open for MDL Marinas‘ 6th annual Photography Competition to find MDL’s 2014 Photographer of the Year, as well as MDL’s 2014 Junior Photographer of the Year for the under-16s.

MDL Marinas love to see photographs of their luxury yacht marinas being enjoyed through the eyes of their berth holders, visitors and their family and friends.

MDL Marinas would like to receive photographs of their luxury yacht marinas as a hive of activity on a brilliant summer’s day; images showing you and other boaters enjoying your boats in the marina or out and about on the water.

Last year MDL Marinas received some stunning landscape and sunset shots, so for 2014 they’d love to see more fast-paced action shots, images illustrating people enjoying the marinas and quirky or artistic compositions. Feel free to be as creative as you like! The key point is to show MDL’s luxury yacht marinas at their very best.

Fantastic Prizes to be Won

First prize in MDL’s Photographer of the Year is a portfolio of the winner’s boat taken by Brendan Fitzgerald of Fitz Marine Photography presented in a handcrafted, leather-bound album worth £700. The runner up will receive a magnum of Champagne.

The top prize of MDL’s Junior Photography Competition for Under 16’s is the brand new Nikon COOLPIX AW120 digital camera – which is waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof – in black with Wi-Fi and GPS worth £250. The runner up will receive £50 worth of Amazon vouchers.

All prize winning entries will also receive a pair of tickets to the 2014 PSP Southampton Boat Show and have their work displayed on MDL’s waterfront stand (E52).
