A Day in the Life of Charter Yacht Guests

Many people spend each and every vacation on board a luxury charter yacht. They visit exotic locations and enjoy a relaxing seagoing experience. This is what a day in the life of a charter guest is often like.

Some guests on board a charter yacht rise early in the morning, so they don’t miss out on the rising sun and breakfast al fresco style. Others like to stay in bed a little longer and take their time preparing for the day ahead. Whatever suits you best, it’s your choice.

Once you leave your cabin in the morning, it’s given a freshening up by the discreet crew. Clean, new towels are left, toiletries replaced and the bed or beds remade. Everything is made ready for you to have an afternoon nap if you feel like it.

With a warm teak deck under your feet, you can enjoy the fantastic scenery as you sail past exotic islands of Asia or sun-drenched beaches of the Caribbean or boutique villages of the Meditterranean. Linger over breakfast, prepared by gourmet chefs and plan your day. The captain will be only too happy to help you with the best cruising routes around and the most delightful anchorages to stop off at.

You can top up your tan on one of the many sun loungers found on the sun decks or flybridge. If you prefer, the crew will launch a couple of jet skis so you can show off your skills in the water. How about trying an inflatable toy like a banana boat or do a little water skiing? There are always tenders to hop on and be towed along which is great fun.

Snorkellers will be in their element. You may come across shoals of beautifully colored fish, unusual marine life or swim close to fantastic coral reefs. Snorkels, masks, and fins can be provided as well as scuba diving gear for the more experienced divers.

NITA K II – Fun on the water

Just want to sit, relax and chill out? No problem. Find a secluded spot in the comfortable lounge, order a cocktail or a cup of coffee. There’s usually a well-stocked library of books to choose from too.

Taking part in the many water sports available works up quite an appetite. Have lunch on the bridge before setting off for yet another island that has palm-fringed beaches, golden sands, and luxuriant flora. It will almost feel as though you are in paradise.

In the afternoons, after anchoring in a spectacular cove, take to the warm waters. Swim, dive or use one of the many inflatables to have some fun. Dry off on the deck after having a fresh water shower on the swim platform before heading to a sun pad to catch an hour or two of sunshine. Some superyachts even provide sun lotions to use, and there’s always someone who will bring an ice-cold drink for you.

Evenings are the highlight of a yacht charter day. After having a shower and putting on a new outfit, meet fellow guests in the saloon bar for drinks. A formal five-course meal is often served, good enough for a Michelin restaurant.

Dining

After dinner, take your drinks to the bridge, enjoy the warm breezes and amazing starlit skies. Chat about the day’s events with family or friends and your favorite part of the day. Watch out for tiny satellites that speed across the sky and bright shooting stars. Then it’s time for bed. You’re sure to have a good night’s rest between crisp sheets knowing that the next day will be full of exciting activities or just plain old relaxation.

Why not ask for a light breakfast to be left outside your stateroom door? Then enjoy the first meal of the day in the privacy of your cabin. What you might be served with is a pitcher of orange juice, a pot of coffee, warm croissants, scones and other tasty pastries. Fresh napkins, beautiful silverware will be on the tray, and for a special touch, even a rose in a vase.

If you want to go ashore at any time, just mention it to the captain. He will organize a car with driver to take you wherever you wish to go. After the vessel’s moored, it’s all go for guests who want to disembark and explore. No matter where you anchor there’s always lots to see and do on land. Discover quaint villages, meet the local people or drive to remote locations, such an adventure!

While ashore, stroll around to discover small shops, cafes, and landmarks of interest. Explore at your own pace; there’s no rush to get back to the yacht. Once you do return to your charter yacht, the crew will take your bags to your cabin or stateroom. They will also provide cool drinks and snacks in the saloon for you. Watch a TV programme or the latest movie to pass the afternoon away.

Dinner comes around again. Watch the throngs of people walking along the quayside then make your way to your dining table. There’s nothing quite like a candlelit dinner served on the afterdeck with brandy and cigars being offered. No bill to pay either!
