A total number of 55-acres (22-hectares) of prime waterfront land in Danga Bay, Malaysia have been recently acquired by Country Garden Holdings Co. Ltd., one of the top 10 developers in China. The company has intentions to build a new superyacht marina as well as hotel complex with a gross development value of RM18 billion. The land purchase is the first as well as biggest investment to date by an investor from mainland China within Flagship “A” of Iskandar Malaysia.

On 4th Dec 2012, the Signing Ceremony of Sales and Purchase Agreement for Land in Danga Bay between Country Garden Holdings Co. Ltd and Iskandar Waterfront Holdings Sdn Bhd (IWH) held successfully, and was honorable to invite Dato’Sri Mohammad Najib Tun Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’Haji Abdul Ghani Othman, Chief Minister of Johor, Datuk Chai Xi, China’s Ambassador to Malaysia attended the signing ceremony. Also Founder and Chairmen of Country Garden Yeung Guoqiang, and President and Executive Director of Country Garden Mo Bin attended the ceremony.

“We are very confident and upbeat about the business outlook in Iskandar Malaysia and are very happy to be one of the first from China to invest in a big way in the southern growth corridor,” said President and Executive Director of Country Garden Mo Bin.
