By offering ‘go-anywhere’ capability and a sense of luxury available from a  larger, more expensive explorer, Barracuda’s uncomplicated 50m ‘Pocket Size’ motor yacht version makes sound commercial sense.

With enough space to carry every conceivable extra for the true adventurer, this  more ‘practical’ 50m version benefits from significant new-build and operational  savings of between 30% and 40% less, compared to an equivalent 60m+ yacht.

The ‘Portuguese-style’ bridge sits atop with external walk-around area, where raised seating inside the wheelhouse will be an exciting place for invited guests to  take in the views.

Beneath the bridge deck an entirely private owner’s deck, with private terrace and  certified helicopter landing-pad is on a par with many larger-than-50m explorers  and superyachts.

Further down on Main deck, four symmetrical guest bedrooms each with a  balcony, a generous bathroom and large windows, mean guest can enjoy the  convenience of walk-through access, via the main entrance hall, to the more formal dining and comfortable lounge areas.

A lower-deck beach club and transom platform creates the best possible contact  with the sea. The yacht’s garage and customisable aft deck above have, between  them, enough space to store and deploy two large tenders, to a small submarine, a  small 4×4, a sailing yacht, PWC – in fact anything and everything an owner might  wish to carry on a long voyage.

With a draft of just 2.30m (compared to say 4.00m draft for an equivalent 80m), it’s  not hard to imagine this uncomplicated and purposeful motor yacht concept accessing  the kind of secluded anchorages and hard-to-reach viewing spots that longer,  deeper-draft yachts would simply not be able to reach.
