TEFAF opened on Friday 14 March to record interest and strong sales in all sections. This followed on from the most successful private viewing session in the exhibition’s history, which alone attracted over 10,000 private and institutional collectors from more than 56 countries, all eager to find new treasures to add to their collections. In total TEFAF Maastricht welcomed 74,000 visitors in eleven days. Some of them arrived by plane, with Maastricht Airport welcoming more than 375 private flights.

Jeroen Sirag, Export Director HISWA Holland Yachting Group, reflects on a successful new initiative. “The partnership with TEFAF Maastricht was a strategic decision in order to meet with a new target audience and to strengthen the position of the Dutch superyacht industry. We received a great deal of positive feedback and visitors were impressed by our stand in which the following Dutch yacht builders participated: Amels, Feadship, Oceanco, Royal Huisman and Vitters Shipyard. Craftsmanship, quality, innovation and partnership were the basis of our participation in TEFAF under the new umbrella: Think Yachts, Think Holland.”

The next edition of TEFAF is from 13 – 22 March 2015.
