Delivered in 2017, she returned to the Amels facilities in 2020 under new ownership for an extensive refit. During this time, the hull was extended from 83m/272ft to 89m/292ft with original naval architects Azure Yacht Design appointed to create the extension.
On her first voyage, she stopped by in London where onlookers could see her 6m/19.8ft extension which has increased her volume from 2827 GT to 2977 GT and a brand new colour scheme, changing her hull from champagne to navy. Modifications include an extended sundeck aft that now has room for a helipad, and an extended bridge deck aft for two VIP suites to have exterior balconies, plus an extended main deck aft for a 7m/23ft swimming pool and a larger beach club with spa facilities. Other tweaks have been made across the decks to the interior areas and layout.
M/Y HERE COMES THE SUN is set to undergo an extensive cruising itinerary now that her refit is complete, making use of her 5,500 nautical miles cruising range to take her across the world.
