Following the success of the Southerly 57RS yacht, Dubois Naval Architects have been commissioned to work in partnership with the Northshore’s design team, to develop a larger sister ship, the 67.50´ sailing yacht Southerly 675. Featuring powerful sailing performance, superior build quality and luxurious accommodation, the Southerly 675 yacht will be available in a choice of interior layouts, including a spacious aft master stateroom and forward crew cabin with separate access.

Dubois Naval Architects have focused their considerable expertise on the creation of a hull and rig which will combine good performance with sea kindliness. The hull is characterised by a long waterline, fine entry and beam carried aft to ensure the highest degree of performance, comfort, stability and safety. The beautiful sleek lines of the raised pilot coachroof exudes sophistication and elegance, normally only seen on much larger yachts.

The serious blue water cruiser, the 67.50´ luxury yacht 675 is primarily designed for easy handling, and can be sailed by just two people. The tall, powerful rig with swept back spreaders and double headsail rig will keep the yacht sailing fast, with minimum effort. The double headsail is suitable for most wind conditions and sailing environments; the self tacking jib allows you to sail easily on short tacks without any effort – ideal for coastal cruising. The overlapping genoa enhances upwind performance in light airs, and together, the double head sail is perfect for down wind trade wind sailing. An asymmetric gennaker, for off wind sailing, can be flown from a hydraulic retractable carbon bowsprit.

The spacious centre cockpit offers security and protection, whilst allowing guests to enjoy dinette facilities in style. A glass windscreen can provide protection from the elements. The twin wheeled helming position allows the helmsman to enjoy the powerful performance of the yacht, with dedicated areas for sail controls and sailing short handed.

Further seating aft allows for guests to relax in comfort, whilst enjoying all round views.

The hydraulic transom door folds down to become a large bathing platform, discreetly hiding the dinghy stowage space. Garaging for a dinghy is standard. An optional layout with twin double cabins aft can incorporate a garaging option for a Williams Turbojet 325 or 285, complete with a system for easy deployment and recovery of the yacht tender.
