The 41m/134.5ft semi-displacement motor yacht VK-1 originally from Spanish shipyard Vulkan has been sold as construction continues and is due for delivery in 2020.

Construction on the all-aluminium luxury yacht VK-1 began in 2007 at family-owned shipyard Vulkan with a completion date set for 2009, however the sale fell through and the shipyard subsequently ceased production. Shipyard Altinel Yachts has taken on VK-1, which boasts accommodation for up to 12 guests over 6 en-suite cabins, with a crew of eight to provide for everything on board.

The twin MTU 16V 2000 M93 engines provide a top speed of 21 knots, a cruising speed of 17 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,000 nautical miles at an economical 12 knots. While at anchor zero-speed stabilisers ensure that guests have reduced roll for greater comfort.

The interiors show an earth-toned colour palette with elegant neo-classical furnishings creating functional and gallery-like social spaces. Outside, the sundeck is the hub for alfresco living and has a glass-sided forward Jacuzzi, sunbeds, a sheltered alfresco lounge amidships to starboard with a wet bar adjacent. The aft section is laid out with sun loungers, which enjoy uninterrupted views out across the stern.

At the time of her sale she was listed for €1,800,000 – a significant reduction on her 2009 asking price of €16,380,000.
