The recently held 3rd Mediterranean Yacht Show was a great success showcasing fabulous Greece charter yachts  and other beautiful luxury yachts on display as well as a great number of participants attending the event. One of the integral parts of a show such as MEDYS is a Chef’s competition. This year’s competition was marked by outstanding success and a fantastic participation of chefs from various charter yachts and private vessels, demonstrating their culinary skills creating unique dishes, tastes and aromas representing the Greek gastronomy. On the 8th and 9th of May Chef were required to create the ‘Next Famous Hellenic Dish’ for the judges. In addition, this year’s competition also featured a new Category: ‘Best Tablescaping’, providing the crews with the chance to participate in the event.

Category A

Category A includes yachts with a daily charter rate in high season up to 7.999 euros. The first day of the Chef’s Competition for Category A, found judges Michael Nourloglou, an acclaimed Greek Chef along with brokers Christina Gedamke and Nicolas Benazeth of CharterWorld performing the hard task of tasting in order to identify a dish sufficient enough to become the next best thing when it comes to Greek gastronomy. Though judges spoke the truth when they said it was not an easy decision, the winners for Category A are as follows:
