South Korean design firm CanariaOcean has unveiled a new 37m superyacht concept, with styling inspiration from the “Blue Rorqual”, which they have named the “Blue Whale”.
The Blue Whale motor yacht measures 37m with a beam of 9.6 m and a 2.2m draft. She will be able to accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 double cabins and have a crew of 3. It has been designed to attain a speed of up to 30 knots per hour thanks to twin 2500hp MTU engines.

A blue whale is the one of the biggest whales in the world and is able to dive to the deepest depths of the oceans. Blue Whales can live over 100 years, can grow up to 37 m and an adult can weigh over 130 tons. Travelling around the World’s oceans, the Blue Whale is a big, powerful and active animal in the water. CanariaOcean have followed these principles characteristics as design features of the Blue Whale motor yacht concept.

The bow of the yacht is designed to capture the characteristics of the mouth of blue whale. Its sleek and swift exterior profile is inspired by the whales swimming form. It also features a low profile making her faster and more stable.
The Blue Whale yacht Concept by CanariaOcean is designed for those wanting to enjoy a family vacation and also for entertaining. Using space effectively was a main focus of the overall design and the concept incorporates special functions such as an extending aft section and a indoor / outdoor salon on the bow salon. The yacht also features zero speed stabilizers and a spa pool and al fresco dining on the main deck.

The extendable aft section is a cabin that slides out at the back of the stern offering a spacious are for guests to relax. This extra cabin can be used in a variety of ways and the roof of the cabin also becomes an extra deck area for guests to relax, sunbathe or enjoy a cocktail.
Another special feature of the Blue Whale Yacht Concept is the indoor/outdoor saloon on the bow. A glass roof opens to reveal a seating area where guests can enjoy amazing views.
The wheelhouse is located on a level above the main deck to ensure guests and crew areas are separate.
