Mulpha Sanctuary Cove head of events Johan Hasser said the prizes were another reason for people to attend the four-day event in Sanctuary Cove’s Marine Village.

“The range and value of prizes on offer this year at SCIBS is extraordinary thanks to our partners and sponsors,” he said.

“There is something to please anyone who has an interest in the boating lifestyle.

“It adds another layer of excitement to this showcase of the international and national boating trends.”

Leading the prize pack is the Ultimate Boat Show Experience powered by leading boat builder Maritimo in conjunction with 92.5 Gold FM and SCIBS.

Mr Hasser said visitors making their way to SCIBS 2014 had a wide range of transport options – from a park and ride service and public transport to water services and helicopter.

“There is a broad array of choices to make getting to SCIBS as fuss-free and time saving as possible to allow more time for enjoying the show itself,” he said.

“This year we have entered an arrangement with Translink allowing people with pre-purchased SCIBS tickets to travel free on the Queensland Rail City Network.

“Visitors taking this option can link with our continuous free shuttle bus service operating between Sanctuary Cove, Helensvale Train Station and the Park’n’Ride car park at Helensvale.”

Parking is available on site at Sanctuary Cove during SCIBS, but Free Public car parks are located at Millaroo Drive, Helensvale (south of Westfield Helensvale, off exit 62) and Sickle Avenue, Hope Island.

Visitors will be able to board free shuttle bus services from both of these car parks, however spaces are limited at Hope Island.

All Boat Show visitors will receive free train travel on all regular Queensland Rail City Network trains when they display a pre-purchased ticket to the event (excluding RailBus).

Adult tickets start from just $20 when pre-purchased online. Free train travel is only available on event days, 22-25 May 2014, when a valid ticket is displayed.

Visitors can also travel directly to the show on Surfside Buslines. Travel to Southport, then change to route 711 to Sanctuary Cove. Bus transport costs are additional.
